In order to integrate Chinese robotics with the world, Fan has actively participated in international cooperation, leading team members to cooperate with the US BEACON National Science and Technology Center to establish the International Joint Research Center for Evolutionary Intelligence and Robotics. The center was later funded by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology and was approved as an international cooperation base in Guangdong Province. In 2015, Professor Fan was one of the organizers of the International Conference on Industrial Informatics-Computing Technology, Intelligent Technology, and Industrial Information Integration, and served as the chairman of the first procedural committee. In 2016, at the second session, they invited academician Leonid Alekseevich Ivanov, then chief scientific secretary of the Russian Academy of Engineering and now the first vice president, to give a keynote speech. Professor Fan also served as the host and made a special report at the meeting. Through this meeting, they appreciated each other and forged a deep friendship. At the same time, they also started cooperative research with the Russian Academy of Engineering.

Since then, Professor Fan and his colleagues from Wuhan University of Technology, the main organizer of the ICIICII annual meeting, worked closely with the Russian Academy of Engineering and invited Academician Leonid Alekseevich Ivanov to give a keynote speech. In the past five years, they have further relied on the Guangdong Provincial Evolutionary Intelligence and Robotics International Science and Technology Cooperation Base of Shantou University (hereinafter referred to as the Guangdong Provincial Guohe Base), and have conducted in-depth cooperation with the Russian Academy of Engineering, in scientific research projects, academic exchanges, talent training, etc. The field has carried out fruitful work and achieved a series of outstanding results.

Taking the opportunity of the Sino-Russian Science and Technology Innovation Year, Fan's team and the Russian Academy of Engineering applied for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Science and Technology Innovation Center construction project "2020 International Conference on Industrial Informatics and Sino-Russian Science and Technology Cooperation and Exchange Project", which was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology International Cooperation Department Listed in the list of activities of the Sino-Russian Science and Technology Innovation Year. The Sino-Russian science and technology cooperation and exchange project showcased the latest research results in the field of industrial informatics, and promoted the development of artificial intelligence and robotics, intelligent optimization, cluster unmanned systems, nanomaterials and intelligent materials.

At the same time, Professor Fan also organized a ten-year action plan. The Guangdong Provincial Guohe Base, together with the Russian Academy of Engineering, Moscow University of Physics and Technology, and Wuhan University of Technology, jointly declared and approved the artificial intelligence and industrial energy system modeling project. With the support of the project, academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation, and personnel training have been carried out., Has been fruitful.

So far, the Guangdong Guohe Base, the Russian Academy of Engineering and Wuhan University of Technology have co-hosted the 4th, 5th and 6th Industrial Informatics-Computing Technology, Intelligent Technology, and Industrial Information Integration Industrial Informatics International Conference. It also co-hosted the first, second and third seminars on intelligent design, optimization, manufacturing and management inspired by nature and society with the Russian Academy of Engineering and Wuhan University of Technology.

In addition, under the recommendation of academician Ivanov, who is in charge of the conference, Fan Jin served as a visiting professor in the direction of machine learning and data science at the Russian Federal University of Finance and Economics, and Dr. Li Wenji taught the teachers and students of the university the frontier of the discipline, popularized and disseminated the excellent achievements of Chinese scholars. With the cooperation of the National Cooperation Base, the Russian Academy of Engineering and Wuhan University of Technology, the journal Nanotechnology in Construction sponsored by the Russian Academy of Engineering successfully entered CNKI for retrieval. Based on the rich achievements achieved through multi-party cooperation, Professor Fan Jin won the Medal of Engineering Warriors of the Russian Academy of Engineering in 2019, was elected as a foreign academic mentor of the Russian Academy of Engineering in 2022, and was elected as a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering in 2023.

Nowadays, intelligent robots have become the emerging strategic development direction of our country. There is no doubt that intelligent robots will change the production and life of human society in the future. In this regard, Professor Fan is full of confidence. He will continue to speed up his pace and innovate in the core technology and application fields of robots, so as to contribute to the new development of China's robot industry and realize the dream of becoming a powerful country in science and technology.
