As an explorer of innovation in China's robot science and technology industry, he has always been rooted in the front line of scientific research and teaching. He not only has a broad vision of international scientific research, but also has been teaching and research for more than 10 years after returning to China. In the 1990 s, with the spring breeze of reform and opening up blowing all over China, China's economic level began to develop rapidly. From 1991 to 2000, Fan Jing completed his doctoral degree at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In order to learn advanced knowledge and technology from Western countries, he went to Michigan State University to study for a degree, and during this period participated in the research of the National Science Foundation of the United States. After graduating from his doctorate, Fan entered the Danish University of Science and Technology, successively served as an assistant professor and associate professor, and presided over and participated in a number of national scientific research projects, and achieved many scientific research results such as the theoretical research of electromechanical system automation and the development of intelligent robot systems. It laid a solid foundation for his later extensive research in the field of intelligent robots.
The international vision brought by many years of overseas experience has made Fan fully realize the importance of the combination of scientific research and industry and the coordinated development of multiple disciplines. In order to use his cutting-edge professional knowledge to help the development of China's robot industry, in April 2012, Fan returned to Shantou University, committed to embracing the industry with scientific research, and using comprehensive robot technology to solve the pain points and difficult problems of enterprises. After returning to China, Fan has actively carried out research on the key technologies and applications of intelligent robot systems for design automation to help improve my country's technological innovation capabilities in the field of intelligent manufacturing and robotics.
Since then, Professor Fan has successively developed a series of products such as power plant intelligent monitoring robot, balance teaching robot arm and multi-purpose composite robot system for greenhouse picking, road crack detection, power plant inspection, etc. He uses the method of design automation to optimize the design of robot products, and fully combines deep learning and optimization algorithms, taking into account practicality and flexibility, so that the relevant robots can accurately and efficiently complete the current task at the same time, can achieve rapid customization for different design requirements.
